Get Hank Williams Jr. back on ESPN to sing "Are You Ready For Some Football" before Monday Night Football games

Created by M.G. on November 20, 2016

To say that Hank Williams Jr. has some questionable ideas about politics would be an understatement. In fact, the man is almost certainly an abhorrent racist. However, in these trying times, when the country appears more divided than ever, our options for unifying figures are limited.

Hank Williams Jr. singing about his rowdy friends on Monday nights again would serve to remind all Americans that despite some of our disgraceful political ideas, we are all still one people, one nation that is, in fact, ready for some football.

Moreover, in the 5 years since Mr. Williams' comments led to his dismissal from ESPN, his offensive ideas have moved from the realm of controversy to the mainstream.

If we're going to go backwards as a nation, let's at least bring back the parts that didn't suck
