to get judgment

Subject: Capital punishment for war criminals of 1971 Liberation War

To whom it may concern,

We are saddened and outraged by the recent sentencing of known war criminal Abul Quader Mollah to life in prison in spite of being found guilty of committing genocide, murder and rape during the liberation war.

Such a verdict has served to taint the legacy of our war for freedom in 1971, and the public outcry is apparent in the spontaneous mass protests taking part in Shahbag square since 5th February, 2013. Rather than a political agenda, people from all walks of life have been united together at Shahbag with the common aim of seeking social justice against the atrocities committed in 1971.
