It's great that there is a website for petitions, but it's not so great that anyone can go on and write bogus petitions for laughs. Making sure a petition isn't a prank or spam wouldn't be harming anyone's free speech. Even a way to flag petitions would be a step up.
Surly there are a few individuals out there who are objective enough not to remove petitions just because they don't agree with them and only target legitimate pranks and spam.
