Get the Money out of Washington by returning the SENATE back the way the Founding Fathers Had it. W/O the 17th Amendment

Created by C.K. on September 23, 2011

Repeal the 17th Amendment and replace it with the following process

Municipal Councilmen from a district convene at the county seat, and elect 1 person in plurality from their district to become a State Senator. That Districts Chosen board of freeholders would Confirm them. Then the State Legislature would convene according to the constitution and appoint two people for consideration to represent that State in the US SENATE and the State Assembly would Vet and Confirm them.

This process would cut the Special Interest Money out of the SENATE since their would be no elections and no longer a need to run a campaign. We would return the SENATE back to it's Federalist Position in our system of Government which is what the Senate was intended for by our founding fathers.
