Get Moving Off the Meds! Solving School Attention Issues with Exercise!

Created by M.M. on July 14, 2014

Research and data shows children are moving less and sitting more in school. This is not only contributing to the obesity epidemic, but also the rise in the number of children diagnosed with ADHD. Medication is not the only answer. Children with ADHD need the extra movement of extended recess and PE. Right now, we see reduced exercise in schools across America. This is not teaching our children a healthy lifestyle.

While education is important, physicial health will always come first. Here is a link to an article on the decline of physical activity in our schools and the rise of ADHD cases: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/answer-sheet/wp/2014/07/08/why-so-ma...

We must act today to ensure the future of tomorrow! Medication is not the best answer!
