40 years ago we made our last mission to the moon. Now we are pushing a manned Mars mission out until the 2030's at the earliest. The public isn't as interested in rovers crawling the surface of Mars as they would be with astronauts. There's a sense of connection and it inspires people of all ages to do great things. NASA needs to push the boundaries like it did in the 60's and make a manned mission to Mars before this decade is out. If they don't, be assured other governments or private businesses will beat them to it. Mr. President we ask that you make this a top priority for NASA and to do it sooner than first planned. NASA needs it and so does this country.
