The teachers should not have to use a specific program to prepare students for college. If it is required to have one, then they are not doing their job correctly.
Florida should also keep FCAT rather than having a short response exam. First off, FCAT does not even measure the intelligence of a student. Neither do any exams! A student may not be a good test taker or cannot work under pressure or within a time limit. A student's intelligence depends on how they behave in school and how they perform their classwork. Also, with the short-response exams, a student may not be skilled with their writing and may not be able to express their answer correctly. With multiple choice, they have their possible solutions in front of them and can easily figure out what they would like to say.
