We need to get rid of all the gun laws, criminals buy the guns illegally (off the street, etc.), so there is no point for gun laws. We should keep background checks, but make it so that if you have any criminal records(for major crimes) you shouldn't be able to buy a gun. Gun laws do not and will not stop criminals, but normal law abiding citizens get stopped buy gun laws. This means that law- abiding citizens don't have many guns to protect themselves from criminals yet the criminals can have any gun they want as they buy it illegally. Also, disregard all bans on guns (assault rifles, etc.) as this only prevents law-abiding citizens from protecting themselves.
