Congress was created to have intellectuals make the laws, rather than the subsistence farmers of the day. 224 years later, nearly everyone has access to unlimited information through the Internet. As Congress cannot serve its intended function, we should abolish it to streamline our legal system. Congress directly downgraded our credit rating, and has been polarized for years- without anybody getting anything done. It's time to get America moving again, and make sure that the average worker has the same say in government as John Boehner, Paul Ryan, and Jim Matheson.
Congress's approval ratings are lower than ever- let's get rid of it.
