Get rid of Corporate personhood and revise copyright laws to return them to their original state

Created by R.B. on January 19, 2012

Corporate personhood has been doing no good for the American public but rather looking after companies who are now treated as persons who can be charged with crimes but not arrested, and take the blame for problems with the executives of these companies. Also copyright laws should be changed back to their original purpose which was to encourage people to create art and innovate by guaranteeing sole proprietorship for the author/artist. At the start these laws protected works for 28 years then opened them up to public use, now they last the author's lifetime and 70 years after his/her death; this is only useful for people who are making large profits on innovations and arts , for people who's ideas would be considered infringement this is their death sentence.
