We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Get rid of daylight savings time.

Created by R.W. on November 06, 2016

Nobody cares anymore if it gets light at 6 a.m. in the morning instead of 7 in the dead of Winter, because most people don't start work until 8 or 9, are still sleeping at 6 a.m., and the added light only interferes with that sleep. Most people would rather have an extra hour of daylight at the end of the day so that they can enjoy the sunset, or at least be able to drive home in the safety of daylight, rather than twilight or dark when it is more dangerous on the roads. Also, it would mean more savings of energy, since there will be less energy consumed to light and heat homes at night. Furthermore, changing the hour forward and backward twice a year has a detrimental whiplash affect on peoples' internal rhythms within their bodies and upsets our sleep patterns and immune systems.
