We will never officially put an end to racism in our country as long as we refer to people as African-American, Mexican-American, Arab-American, etc, etc, etc.
We are creating racism by referring to our fellow Americans by giving them a certain designation.
People born in America, or legally apply for citizenship are legally Americans, and should then therefore be referred to as such.
As Americans, we should still all observe all peoples beliefs and opinions, but we should be more proactive in creating an end to racism. This could be another step.
