DUI Checkpoints are completely useless. They are a violation of our 4th Amendment rights. They were created in the late 80's to catch drunk drivers and get them off the road. While cops may have caught a few drunk drivers here and there, what they've really done is needlessly inconvenience law-abiding, sober drivers. 99% of the drivers who have been stopped and arrested at DUI checkpoints have been sober.
Nowhere in the Constitution does it say when you get a license you forfeit all your rights.
