Get rid of the electoral college for pure, representative, equal, and non biased voting.

Although the purpose of the electoral college was to protect the rights of the smaller states in voting season, this tool of poll voting is vastly outdated and has been victim of corruption. The electoral college can misrepresent what the PEOPLE of the United States of America truly vote for. It should be illegal and unconstitutional. I should not have to vote, for someone else to cast a vote for me, especially when that person may not honor their duty and obligations. This was a major problem in the Bush and Kerry election in Florida when electoral votes were being sold off. Why would a system exist that can be easily manipulated in favor of one side over the other, if voting in its truest sense was to allow the PEOPLE to chose their representative government?
