1787 the people created the Electorial vote because so many people lived too far from polling places and they assigned their votes to someone who could vote in their place. Another reason was the problem of slavery in the South.
The reasons for Electorial votes are no longer valid. This change would save the country a lot of money. It would also make the people's vote real.
We still need representatives in the house and senate for running our country but we don't need help picking a Pesident.
