We the People of the United States request that the government not allow the word "museum" (and any derivative or synonym of the word) to be used to describe anything that is not a museum. A museum, by definition, is "a building in which interesting and valuable things (such as paintings and sculptures or scientific or historical objects) are collected and shown to the public". Creation museums do not show anything that has been proven to be scientific or historical and, therefore, should be required to change their name. Calling such an establishment a museum is a violation of consumer rights and is in violation of the Lanham Act. By calling it such, they are misrepresenting the nature and characteristics of the exhibits and presentations shown there and leaving our citizens benighted.
