There are many neighborhoods over the country without access to real food. These "food deserts" only have access to what's sold at convenient stores and gas stations. Due to undernourishment the people living in these areas have had many infant deaths, miscarriages, and nutrition-related illnesses. The federal government should provide funding for small supermarkets to be built in these food deserts where people can easily access them.
