Pennies are worthless. They waste peoples' time, they are practically treated like $2 bills by machines, and they fail to facilitate the trade of goods and services. Lincoln is already on the $5 dollar bill, and if he were alive today, he would probably kill the penny. Nothing will happen to prices or donations. We would save an estimated 1 billion dollars. Every year, the government wastes 18 million dollars on this small germ-filled coin. Many countries have already ditched their 1 cent coins and nothing happened.
