get rid of the "present" button in the Senate/House votes. A "yay" or "nay" should be the only two options.

The Senate and the House of Representatives have three choices when it comes to passing a bill. These office-holders can choose "yay" (they want the bill passed) or "nay" (they do not want the bill passed) or "present" (meaning they were there that day, but did not make a stand). Getting rid of the "Present" button will ensure that the Senators and Representatives to make a stand. When "present" is hit the S/R can say "I chose to or not to pass the bill" when election time arrives, even though all that was done was the "Present" button being hit. Stop the political equivocation and see where the people you elect truly stand on the issues that are talked about today. Whether those issues are gun control, abortion, same-sex marriage....anything and everything.
