The smarter balanced assessment consortium will be replacing the individual assessments all ready in place by each state. The people make and score these assessments in each state will now be out of jobs. In addition, common core standards restrict the creativity and originality of teachers. According to my current teachers, the difficulty of this assessment will be out of balance for the first and second groups of students who will be taking the test next year and the year after that, because these students have been taught to the current standards set by our state. I have also heard concerns about the way the test is written, and the way that students have to respond to the questions. So stand up for the repeal of the smarter balanced assessment consortium!
