Standard time should be eliminated in favor of Daylight Savings time all year long. There is no longer a need to continue changing our clocks twice a year. This changing of clocks is a major inconvenience for most people, and there is no real benefit to doing so. It seems that going with year round daylight savings time rather than year round standard time would be more beneficial due to the number of people who are awake and active during the extra hour of daylight on either end of the day. We recently extended daylight savings time by 4 weeks in 2007, which was a step in the right direction, but the proper action would have been eliminating standard time altogether. We should not wait any longer to eliminate Standard time and the needless changing of clocks.
