Get rid of the tax code and have a 15% consumption tax on all goods.

I think that we should remove the tax code and replace it with a 15% consumption tax on all goods. That means no social security tax, medicare tax, etc. You get to take home your whole paycheck. If you make $20hr, you get $800 for a 40hr work week. You will be responsible for your own retirement. With this plan, people in the underground economy(illegal aliens, drug dealers, strippers, prostitutes, etc.) will have to pay taxes. The tax will also include people on food stamps. If you spend $100 at Target, your tax is $15. I believe this will create more revenue to the government. Of course, this all hinges on the government getting it's spending under control and doing what's right.
