The American people are tired of the gridlock and excuses from the Senate. The bickering and petty squabbles get nothing done, filling what little time our elected officials manage to save between campaigning on useless roadblocks.
If the Senate wants to play these games, they should at least have to sweat for them. The handshake filibuster deal between Republicans and Democrats makes a mockery of the institution of the Senate.
We ask that, in light of the Senate not being able to get anything done anyway, the president vow to hold his signature on any bill until the Senate removes this lazy filibuster from their rules.
We further vow that every Senator who does not vote in favor of this rule change, Republican or Democrat, will not receive our votes in their next election.
