Get Service Members more involved in military budget cuts and stop making decisions to create family hardship

Created by O.P. on April 03, 2014

On March 31 Senior Pentagon Officials told Congress Service Members are willing to sacrifice portions of their pay, in order to stay in a ready pool for war. Many Service Members live way below the poverty line and have to be pinching pennies in order to get by. Many use various credit cards to provide meals for their family after their bills are being paid. Imagine a family of 5 with only 1 working parent earning 3000 before taxes each month but has a monthly expense of 1200 for rent, 800 for utilities, 1080 for food, lunch for the kids, cable etc. Start cutting from the un-necessary equipment purchases, get rid of the spend it or loose it mentality if they don't need the same every month. We the people may have great ideas and together we can save instead of cutting pay and benefits.
