Get tough on the theft of credit card data and credit card fraud

Created by J.S. on January 11, 2014

It seems that major retailers, credit card companies and issuing banks have no interest in or motivation to adequately protecting the privacy and financial well being of their customers. They have opposed switching to cards with improved security (chip and PIN technology) that are widely used outside the US. Credit fraud in the US is on the rise and costs the public in excess of $50 Billion/yr in addition to the invasion of privacy.

It's time for the Federal Government to get tough. A Presidential meeting with key industry leaders, Congressional and DOJ leadership is warranted. The American public wants to see action taken to protect our interests.
