Verizon Fios has stopped most of their expansion to other areas and has lied about their expansion plans in the past. They promised to expand throughout New Jersey and many parts of New York. They have not completed their promise and don't plan on it. What they plan on doing is expanding their wireless network to squeeze as much money as possible out of people. Sixty dollars for 10 GB of data is ridiculous.
The lack of competition in many areas that Verizon promised to expand to has led to cable monopolies.
The goal of this petition is to get Fios to expand again or at least finish laying out their lines to the areas that were previously planned.
