“Good guys with a gun” to hold on to their assault rifles.
Like the NRA said “ the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun ,,, is a good guy with a gun”
Lets make this good guys to earn the right to own those weapons. I suggest a one year period where a registered , law-abiding assault rifle owners can earn $100 from every confiscating a weapon from a known criminal . If in a years time this “good guy” turns in 50 weapons from a known criminals , he gets to keep his assault rifle.
I believe this is the way to use those good guys talents to make the world a better place .And getting illegal weapons of the streets.
I also suggest training from local law enforcement to these “ civilian gun control troops”.
The ex-military and law enforcement personnel would be recommended .
