getting rid of the penny

I personally believe that the penny is a useless form of currency for the united states to have. it costs 1.8 cents to make every 1 cent penny, so if you think of that on a larger scale of how much is spent on the penny we are losing millions of dollars, so instead of spending it on something that has very little buying ability, we can spend the extra money towards: Education, the deficit, help fight poverty, etc. I know this may not help a whole lot to our budget, but every little bit helps. And for those who worry about this failing, many countries (and our military men and women over seas) have already done this and have seen no change or problems with anything.
