Getting rid of un-needed currency can save us ALOT of $$$!

Created by C.A. on June 08, 2013

As we all know the penny is pretty much worth-less in the American economy as it cost 1.8 cents to make 1 U.S penny. The U.S mint makes about 4 billion pennies each year just so people can fiddle around wasting time looking for them in there pocket or looking through purses. Many country's have gotten rid of there 1 cent coins such as New Zealand, Australia, Canada, & Finland who just round to the nearest 5 cents. Also when the penny is taken away study's show Charitable donations wont drop, nor will prices rise & The U.S has already gone through ditching currency before as in 1857 of the dis-continue if the half cent coin due to it being (also) worthless, but at the time it had the same buying power of today's dime. But the best reason because of inflation they are worth less each year.
