Millions of U.S. citizens are experiencing the domino effect of economic hardship. Sudden unemployment/underemployment is only the beginning of a dangerous downward spiral, which requires Americans to decide what bills are most important to pay.
We the people deserve an economic hardship bill that will require companies/banks to give customers in economic hardship a fighting chance.
A bill that allowed customers to temporarily lower monthly payments on loans, phone service, utilities, and other bills essential to life and employment search; and spread the defaulted amount over a six to 12 month period after hardship is lifted.
Poverty is becoming a reality to hardworking, well-educated individuals who never thought they would have to beg the utility company not to turn off the lights.
