If we are to compete with the rest of the world, we need an educated population, but the cost of tuition today is like taking out a mortgage. Many people haven't been able to find a job even with master's degrees since the recession hit. This is absolutely criminal. And even when a job is presented the pay is less than a living wage, the health benefits are the absolute minimum, they demand the work of 3 or more workers from 1 person, and they refuse advancement or raises based on unreasonable performance expectations. How is anyone supposed to get out from under their debt in these conditions? The least that can be done is to let people start from zero with a degree in hand.
