Give back our Tuition Assistance Program (Education) for Federal Employees.

Created by C.D. on December 03, 2012

Federal employees tuition assistance program was taken away which paid for our tuition and fees to attend college, take online classes etc. This program paid up to 5,000$ per employee.
The Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) was offered to employees as a long-term recruitment tool and as a means to improve employee and organizational performance. In Fiscal Year 2011, 5,313 IRS employees participated in the program, which paid out $7.02 million in tuition costs.
The IRS decided to eliminate TAP funding for Fiscal Year 2012 due to budgetary reductions in November 2011,
Giving back the tuition assistance program for for federal employees will help us to continue our education, further our knowledge in our studies. We urge President to issue an executive order on this issue.
