Providing Basic Allowance for Housing to all military service members will reduce marriage fraud within the ranks, reduce paperwork, and ultimately save the government money.
This is a simple solution to a persistent problem. Simply add the BAH to the actual pay amount while charging those living on post/base a rental fee. This is already happening to those who live in privatized housing, so it would be a very easy transition.
