Give California back to Mexico

Historically, California was taken from Mexico by the United States under ethically questionable circumstances. To this day, this is a sore point with many Mecixan citizens. Furthermore, California has become a potential problem for the United States because of many of their policies, such as effectively an open-door policy towards illegal immigrants that results in an easy conduit for drugs, terrorists, etc. to enter the United States. California is also morbidly in debt due to poor financial management, and is a financial burden for the rest of the United States. As such, I feel it would be economically helpful to the United States and a positive foreign relations move to give California back to Mexico.
