Give Carmen Figueroa legal immigrant status to honor her years of service in Arizona's state police.

Created by L.P. on December 12, 2013

As a young child, Carmen Figueroa was illegally brought to the United States from Mexico by her parents, who told her that she was born in America and was a citizen. She worked for the Arizona state police for 13 years with an exemplary record as both a highway patrol officer and a detective. Ms. Figueroa also served as a spokesperson for the state police. When Ms. Figueroa discovered through her mother that she was not a legal citizen of the United States, she resigned from her position on the police force. The people request that, in light of Ms. Figueroa's circumstances and her pristine record as a law enforcement officer, the Obama administration extend amnesty and legal immigrant status to her.
