Dear President Obama,
This election was unique & demonstrates that the immigrant US citizens care a lot about your views. As an immigration attorney, I am urging your administration to give a chance to "Skilled Workers" just as much as "undocumented workers" on your immigration reform. I was pleased to hear that at your November 11, 2012 press conference you mentioned this!
Our country is facing huge competition and denying skilled workers the ability to obtain visas or permanent residence is only hurting our economy. For example, Indian and Chinese engineers have to wait almost 10 to 50 years to obtain a permanent residence in the United States. Spouses of H1B visas are unable to work, and visa denials at the State Department level under INA 221g are unfair.
