Chuck Berry is the godfather of rock n roll music. Plain and simple. Without him, there would not be a lot of the great popular (and rock) music there is today. He is still alive and playing shows at age 88, which says something about him as a truly special person. He made great songs like "Maybellene", "Rock and Roll Music", "Johnny B. Goode", "Roll Over Beethoven", "Sweet Little Sixteen", and many others. His contributions to American culture, life, and experiences have been extraordinary. He brought people of different races together in the 1950s to dance to his songs, despite segregation. Additionally, he invented the "duck walk" and has popularity all over the world. We kindly ask President Obama to give Chuck Berry a Medal of Freedom.
