Over 100,000 Hispanic veterans have served in America's armed forces. Hundreds have died. None were citizens. This is wrong! When anyone, Hispanic or any other non citizen, takes the oath in the armed forces, you hand them their enlistment papers in one hand and their citizenship papers in the other. It is only right! It would also solve any future enlistment shortage problems for the Department of Defense and would provide a place for dialogue to begin on issues regarding reforming immigration laws. Who would not support this idea? Those prepared to die for this country should be made citizens--instantly.
