The junior Marines stationed at NAS Pensacola have been stripped of their rights to wear civilian attire even when they are on liberty both on and off base. The restriction was put in place over a year ago to alter the behavior of the Marines that were currently stationed there. None of these Marines are left on the base unless they are on legal or medical hold. We have a whole group of Marines that are being punished for something that they were never a part of. And history shows that mass punishment on a large scale such as this is very ineffective, because it is only a small percentage that is causing the problems. This situation only leads to the feeling that the whole time that a Marine is enlisted that they are going to get screwed over even if they do the right things.
