give consumers equal access to more economical vehicles as offered in European countries.

Created by R.P. on April 07, 2014

Numerous car manufacturers, i.e. Ford, Mazda, Hyundai, Volkswagen, and others, do not offer the same line of engine options on their vehicles as they do in other countries. While it is considered innovative in the US to drive a small car that barely surpasses 40MPG, these numbers are far more common and significantly higher in vehicles offered in other countries. If a family is shopping for a van or a mid sized SUV capable of 5+ person transport the most economical options average at 20-30 MPG while some of the same vehicles in Europe are offered with engines that surpass 40 MPG easily.
As such, we petition that car manufacturers should offer the same economical options on their vehicles as in other countries and inform their customers them.
