The US is at the point where the educated could decide our fate ourselves and allowing us the FREEDOM OF DECISION is logical. We still need our government however they should represent us truly and trust shouldn't be an issue with the citizens and our government. In this time of instant communication we no longer need all the middlemen between us and our decisions. Everything should go to public vote. Reasonable exams should be put into place to ensure those voting understand the issue (removes need for electoral college) and once completed (and a citizen status proven) allow a vote. If enough people want change it will occur, but the rights of individual choice mustn't be restrained. Freedom to experience our only lives the way we choose is what we ask. Unlikely, but a nice thought.
