Give Defendants in the Court of Law the right to a Trial by Combat

This petition would allow a defendant in a case to get the option of a trial by combat. The defendant can either take part in the trial himself or have a volunteer fight for him. Whether the combat is to the death or to the point of knockout/submission is based on the severity of the crime. The weapons and/or body armor that the combatants use is determined by the defendant and competitor with an emphasis on fairness. This is a win-win situation because if it is to the death the defendant gets it settled and goes free or the defendant gets an honorable death. Plus it is an option not a requirent. It would be nice to see this implemented nationally or adopted by some of the states .
