NASA has started to conduct research on warp drives, we need to give them more support. Why? For a perfectly selfish reason, because we can and we should. Do we want some other country to do this research and make the breakthroughs that could take us to the stars? No, because they might charge an arm and a leg for us to use it. What's in it for us? To inspire our children to go into Science, to increase our knowledge of new types of propulsion, and eventually to build new industries, thus new jobs. Advanced technologies can build new industries, and could bring new jobs both skilled and unskilled in the future.
