Give email addresses the same protections as our phone numbers and mailing addresses

Created by C.K. on January 30, 2014

Yahoo Inc has locked and set for deletion the primary email account I have had for the last 10 years.Im not the only person with this issue. My email address is the cornerstone of my online identity

I have that email address on checks and resumes, and most of the people I attended high school and old friends can only reach me through my email and vice versa.

Two weeks ago for the third time Yahoo has locked my account claiming I violated their terms of service.I say they spent 10 years ignoring the bugs of a faulty product and now want to blame the users for their lack of action.

Point blank,no one can change my mailing address or block my phone number to prevent me from getting my letters and messages, why are there no protections for this primary form of communication?
