More and more incidences of violence are happening both at home and in public spaces. Some of them unfortunately are perpetrated by persons with weapons that can be powerful. The public in America should be more aware of the options available to them for personal security. They should feel safe. There are individuals out there that would see the solution to this issue is to take away freedoms from the public.
What we should do is teach people about guns and their rights. We need people to be safe as well in case something happens.
What should be discussed is a voucher program that would allow a citizen to choose a home defense rifle. This would be a subsidy and not a free weapon. A class would have to be completed that would be formalized in order to apply for the voucher.
