This petition seeks to provide U.S. citizens with credit scores of 700 or higher regardless of their credit history, and to hide poor credit history from anyone who is not a lending institution. The purpose of this action is to return victims of the economic crisis to a path of prosperity, and protect them from further economic marginalization.
Currently, people who have lost jobs and homes due to the economic crisis, have low credit scores. These are often viewed negatively by potential employers and landlords. However, if people with poor credit cannot secure housing or jobs because of their credit histories, they will remain in an increasingly downward economic spiral and excluded from the path to prosperity. As a result, the economy will continue to suffer.
