Father's Rights.
This petition is calling for a change in the way unwed fathers are viewed as parents. Currently in most, if not all, states an unwed father has absolutely no rights to his child if he and the child's mother separate. Currently an unwed father has to pay thousands in court and lawyer fees to prove his place in the child's life after separation. The mother is the majority victor for decision making and custody. Father's should have the same amount of rights as the mother period. This petition calls for the father to be able to have the same chance as the mother instead of it being biased towards a female victory. It also calls for the signing of the child's birth certificate by the father to be considered as a form of legitimization.
