Give the FDA authority to Oversee Potentially Dangerous Dietary Supplements Before any Conflict Occurs

Created by E.Z. on July 30, 2015

In 1994, the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act failed due to an enormous push by dietary supplement companies to prevent regulation. The consequence of which has led to an regulatory-impotence (no pun intended) by the FDA to regulate potentially dangerous and mismarketed dietary supplements, which can only be reviewed after a conflict has already occurred. The role of the FDA is oversight and prevention, and with such an important agency as toothless as it is, and ever more lies about the effectiveness of shelve products, the position of the consumer is incredibly vulnerable. Enforcement is there to protect citizens, and so I appeal to you, Mr. President, to make another push for this bill.
