Federal employees and their families endured pay freezes over the past several years. Giving federal employees an extra day off on Friday, December 26, 2014, in conjunction with the Christmas holiday would be a good gesture to improve morale of the federal workforce.
This is also consistent with past practice. We urge President Obama to issue an executive order on this issue.
