Give federal employees a half-day off on Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24, 2013.

Created by A.B. on December 18, 2013

It has been a very tough year for those who work for the American people. Federal employees have seen their colleagues gunned down. They have been sequestered for 4-10-days and furlough for another 17 days.
Throughout the Federal government these employees have focused on delivering world class service to every citizen and guest in this country.
They have stayed focused while the personal income of private white collar workers in similar positions has grown 1 to 4% annually, while their own salaries have lost nearly 8% against inflation since 2008.
Giving federal employees a half-day holiday on Christmas Eve, December 24th, 2013 would be a good gesture to improve morale of the federal workforce.
President Obama provided a half-day off on Christmas Eve, Mon., 12/24/12, and Thurs.,12/24/09
